Welcome to Bond & Pixel; the creative endeavor that myself and my husband Tom I have finally put a name to and are excited to grow!
As a little background, we both hail from Melbourne, Australia. We ventured to Perth (and fell in love) on the way to our current locale - an itty bitty island in the south of South Korea. All the while, we have accumulated over 30,000 pictures of our adventures, our friends, and our memories. Sounds crazy, right? The photographs on the page are our memories from adventures across, under, over and through 25 countries. We took them on iPhones, DSLRs, Drones, Compacts, and GoPros, as we jumped on motorbikes, planes, paragliders, four wheel drives and best of all, our own two feet.
In 2016 we decided to put pen to paper (or finger to mouse) and trawl through what we had captured. Now we have reached the 'final cut' to be shared with the explorer in each and every one of you!
Specializing in travel and adventure photography, Tori loves anything candid, colorful or creative. With this, she began expanding into couples photography. She spends life in search of the perfect light, the perfect angle, the perfect moment and most importantly, the perfect exposure. For Tori, the remark “wait a minute, I’m just taking a quick photo” yields phenomenal results! Keep an eye out under 'Clients' for images from recent shoots.
With a technical mind, Tom's foray into photography commenced with a Canon G12, the perfect companion for adventure motorbike and diving trips. Flooding his first housing and camera during an 8 degree / zero visibility quarry dive in Victoria, Australia, Tom took the hobby away from the water and built an interest in astrophotography and other long exposure photography. Always trying to learn something new, he’s now working on a number of videography project, or anything else that gives a good excuse to fly someone else’s drones!
What's coming up?
In 2017 we will be publishing a selection of frames from our catalog. With our time in South Korea coming to an end, you will see an increase in pictures from our travels through South Korea including photography and videography. With a little more patience, you might even catch the released of our first adventure documentary “Quest for the Altai” which chronicles our attempt to ride dirt bikes 2500kms across the rough Mongolian landscape over 8 days. What was at the end of this adventure shocked us more than you could imagine, and no, that’s not a reference to the literal shock from Tom’s dislocated shoulder!
Got Questions?
Often the more remote the destination is, the less available the information. If you have any questions about a destination or are thinking about travelling there yourself, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
